we are wild
Project Breathe aims to address our quest for clean air indoors, recognizing the alarming fact that indoor air pollution can be 2-5x worse than what we breathe outside.
This pervasive issue is often rooted in the petrochemical origins of our furniture, inadequate ventilation during cooking, and the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the paints coating our living spaces. A Harvard study underscored the profound impact of improved indoor air quality, showing a remarkable 61% boost in cognitive scores across multiple functional domains, including crisis response, strategic thinking, and sustained focus.
Considering we spend more than 90% of our lives indoors, we see an untapped opportunity to address this sector. With Project Breathe, we will explore an ecosystem of novel home products to keep air purified, making homes not just spaces we inhabit but sanctuaries where we thrive.
